Ms. Emilia Tan Mei Shia (www.tmsart.com) born in Selangor, Malaysia had her first obsession with art after the age of six. In 2001 with respected Ms. Fatimah Chik and Mr. Samsuddin (Malaysian's finest Batik artists); her tutors introduced her to the art of Batik. The time she spent in Australia also has been the biggest influence on her work. Creating her own style with a mix of aboriginal art with Malaysia batik techniques and made a mark for herself as one Malaysia’s most reputable creative Batik artist. Emilia will lead you through a step-by-step process on Batik painting from dyeing a fabric, waxing, right up to painting your work of art. This is a wonderfully fulfilling art class for all age groups and anyone who wishes to express their creativity. So don’t miss out on the beauty of Batik Painting!
